Machine Specification A Twin Gantry, high speed, Machine with:
Table size: 40,000mm x 3,000mm
Travels: X = 34,000mm (both Gantry's); Y = 3,000mm; Z = 600mm
Twin Spindles on each Gantry
"A" Axis Head Tilt (on all Spindle Heads)
Project To install, Retrofit and upgrade the machine with a new Heavy Duty Milling Spindle, including:
Dismantle the TWO machines from the previous user site and transport to customer works
Install to new foundations as ONE machine, including re-engineering of Rails & Drive Racks to suit.
New Tychoway Linear Bearings to all axes
New high speed Heidenhain iTNC530 Control package
New Measurement Feedback Systems to all axes
New electrical panel & all new interface equipment
Design, manufacture and install a complete new Heavy Duty 40Kw Milling Head complete with Chiller Unit.
Integrate existing Gamfior High Speed Spindle
Fit new Fully Interlocked Perimeter Guarding System
write all new Machine "bespoke" software
Supply Operator /Programmer Training
Supply complete documentation package
Special Comments A complex project in that it involved joining two long bed machines together to produce one 34,000mm capacity machine. In addition, the new 40Kw Spindle Head was designed to meet specific cutting criteria required for "prepping" of Aircraft Stringers
